Engineering Transfer Programs
Several of our students begin an engineering program elsewhere and complete a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering at USM. Others begin their engineering studies at USM and complete their program elsewhere. Most engineering programs begin with courses in chemistry, physics, mathematics, English composition, computer programming, an introduction to engineering course, and engineering science courses. Courses are available at USM for students to complete the first year of studies and some second year courses in several engineering disciplines. A full complement of humanities and social sciences is also available. Undergraduate degree programs in electrical engineering and in mechanical engineering can be completed at USM.
