Outstanding Student for 2007
Senior David Wolney has been chosen as the Outstanding Engineering Student for 2007. David, a senior in electrical engineering, transferred to USM from the University of Wyoming. Besides being
an outstanding student, he works in the Systems Integration Group at IDEXX Laboratories, a biotechnology company in Westbrook, Maine. He is a member of the student branch of the Institutue of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and is active in the USM Scientific Ballooning group. He enjoys working with other students and finds he learns more himself when he teaches others. His latest hobby is beer brewing. David is thankful for the support of his wife, Kari.
He was honored at the School of Applied Science, Engineering, and Technology awards banquet on April 20, 2007.
